Meet the Founder
Yaritza Maldonado |
Luxe & Chic Travel was founded by Yaritza Maldonado, a native of the island of Puerto Rico and a true adopted Floridian. Having spent over 25 years in Orlando, FL, one of the most visited destinations around the world, Yaritza was profoundly exposed to the aviation and tourism industry and thus her love affair of travel began. Led by her admiration of airplanes (her favorite mode of transportation!), Yaritza spent 10 years in the Aviation industry. Working in aviation provided her with an in-depth understanding of how airlines operate, in addition it presented many opportunities to travel and explore countless destinations around the globe. Bit by the ‘wanderlust bug’ she found herself enamored with learning more about the different cultures, locals, and gastronomy which allowed her to become extremely travel savvy. Soon she found herself consulting with colleagues, friends, and families about their travel arrangements and providing them unique recommendations. It was then she realized her calling as a travel advisor. Naturally it incorporates her passion of travel and history, along with her learned corporate executives’ skills, which she devotes to execute extraordinary trips for her trusted clients.
Yaritza is a mother of two wonderful boys and a travel guru at heart. When she is not in Orlando designing exclusive getaways for her clients, you can find her flying across the pond to exploring new destinations with her boys! |
What places have you visited that have stayed with you?
Oh wow, that’s a hard one with so many destinations in mind, but I would have to say definitely Cinque Terre, Italy. The vibrant colors, enchanting seaside eateries, gelato, olive oil and wine vineyards, and most importantly the warmth of the locals. It was the highlight and one of the best trips taken. While in Cinque Terre, I would highly recommend to charter a boat and explore the fascinating coast.
What are some things you can’t live without while traveling?
It has to be my comfortable loafer shoes! I match them with just about any outfit I take. I also always carry my camera to capture amazing pictures with, wet wipes (because you never know when you may need them), my phone, and a good book because there is nothing dreamier than to find a picturesque spot and sit to read a book.
While traveling, what kind of souvenirs do you like to collect?
I’m always picking up a current newsprint and magazines from each destination I travel to. I love that I can look back at those prints and remember what was taking place in that country during my trip; it’s like a date/time stamp of where I have been.
If you can choose one favorite city, which one would that be?
J’adore Paris! Anyone who truly knows me absolutely knows that Paris is one of my favorite cities. The ambiance, history, arts, architecture, fashion, shopping, and of course who can forget exquisite cuisine. Paris tient mon coeur! (Paris holds my heart!)
